Chapter One

If Baelen is rescued, Derryth will reluctantly accept his return and thank the party, explaining that she and her husband are in the Underdark to look for Noblestalk, a mushroom with incredible restorative properties. She plans to sell it to keep their shop afloat in Baldur's Gate after Baelen had nearly ran it bankrupt to pay for drink. When asked about their cold relationship, it's implied that Baelen was abusive towards her before he had lost his mind.

If the player mentions that they found some Noblestalk, Derryth asks for it though she has nothing more to offer in exchange. She will, however, give up her wedding ring if intimidated for a reward. Once given, she will thank them and request they visit them at her shop in Baldur's Gate — Bonecloak's Apothecary.

If the Noblestalk is given directly Baelen, he will consume it to regain his senses, much to Derryth's horror. Baelen will likewise ask the party to visit them in Baldur's Gate saying that he owes them one. Derryth condemns the party and will refuse to trade, telling them to leave her alone.

Chapter Three

If Baelen was not given the Noblestalk, he will simply be found at Bonecloak's, helping Derryth with the shop. If the Noblestalk was not given to Derryth previously, Derryth will mention that the shop will not be able to stay open much longer.

Notes

  • After being given the Noblestalk, Derryth mentions that she'll be on her way and informs her husband that they're leaving.
  • While Derryth states that the shop will no longer be able to stay open without the Noblestalk, the shop will be available for the entire duration of Chapter Three.
