Camp followers
Camp followers are characters that travel with the player’s party and they often remain at camp. Unlike companions, they cannot be asked to join the party.
They usually fulfill certain roles, such as resurrecting dead players or providing lore.
List of camp followers
Act One
Withers; sells Scrolls of Revivify & can be paid to revive dead party members.
Volothamp Geddarm, a wizard who attempts to remove the tadpole.
Barcus Wroot, accompanies the party to Moonrise Towers.
Act Two
Arabella, part of a small questline involving her parents. Will accompany the party until they reach Baldur's Gate.
Act Three
Spoiler warning! This section reveals details about the story of Baldur's Gate 3.
Yenna, a girl who lost her mother.
Isobel, will stay with her girlfriend.
Dame Aylin, will stay with her girlfriend.
Ulder Ravengard, will stay if he was rescued.
Mizora, will stay for her own amusement.
Emmeline Hallowleaf, will stay with her husband, if they were rescued by Shadowheart.
Arnell Hallowleaf, will stay with his wife, if they were rescued by Shadowheart.
Circumstantial
Oathbreaker Knight, will appear to Paladins who have broken their oath, and remain until paid to renew it.

People
- Withers: Can be found and awakened at the Dank Crypt, but will arrive at camp by himself a short ways into Act 1 if not found here.
- Volo: Can be found at the Secluded Grove and later rescued from goblins at the Goblin Camp.
- Barcus Wroot: The party has to first rescue him at Moonhaven and later at Grymforge.
- Arabella: Can be found infront of the House of Healing graveyard.
Pets
- Scratch: northeast of Moonhaven.
- Owlbear cub: in a cave near the entrance of Moonhaven. The party has to enter, meet the Owlbear's mother, then leave and enter again. Later, it can be found at the Goblin Camp where the player character can agree to play Chicken Chase or just persuade the goblins to release the cub. It'll take many rests for the Owlbear to arrive.
