Blood is smeared across the shield's face, exalting wielders who bear the Absolute's mark - and blighting those who don't.

The wearer of this item gains:

• The Word of the Absolute: The Absolute shields her faithful and curses her enemies! Branded targets receive a +2 bonus to  Armour Class. Unbelievers get a -1d4 penalty to Attack Rolls and Saving Throws.

  • AoE: 5 m / 17 ft (Radius)
  • Concentration: not required (as of Early Access Patch 9)
  • Recharge: Short Rest

• The Word of the Absolute applies the equivalent of File:Shield of Faith Icon 2.png Shield of Faith (without the typical Concentration requirement) to all allies in the radius who have been branded. Non-branded targets will instead be afflicted by Bane until Long Rest.
