Character information
Location Lady Jannath's Estate

These skulls are found in the upper floors of Lady Jannath's Estate. They cast Thunderwave Thunderwave when a player character is nearby, making them difficult to evade. The skulls see through Invisibility Invisibility and similar effects.

Due to their vulnerability to bludgeoning damage, they are easy to destroy from a safe distance.

Strategy

Due to them triggering a Thunderwave Thunderwave when being near them it's hard to approach them. Therefore it's advised to simply throw a bludgeoning weapon at them which has the "thrown" trait. A simple Light Hammer thrown by a character with decent strength is sufficient to kill a skull in one blow.

Alternatively, casting Remove Curse Remove Curse will remove the Cursed Skull Cursed Skullstatus from the skull, preventing Thunderwave Thunderwave from being cast. This requires being within melee range of the skull, which may cause the skull to cast Thunderwave Thunderwave. A method of applying Remove Curse Remove Curse is using Misty Step Misty Step to blink to a location outside of the skulls sight line, they can then be disabled with Remove Curse Remove Curse from behind or from the side if you position carefully.

Casting the ritual spell Silence Silence on the skulls will entirely neutralize its Thunderwave Thunderwave attack.

They are also vulnerable to fire damage, provided the damage roll is high enough they can be taken out with the Fire Bolt Fire Bolt cantrip.
