At least for me in Act III, the base trade multiplier is 3.0, not 2.5. Using a gold bar with value of 100, my sell price with 0 attitude and 0 persuasion is 33, and my buy value is 300 The rest of the formula still holds up, as my 14 persuasion character with 100 attitude sells for 91 and buys for 110
