Edowin

Edowin is a True Soul of the Absolute. He was searching the Wilderness with Andrick and Brynna for survivors of the Nautiloid Wreck to locate a weapon.

Involvement

Act One

Edowin can be found in the Forest at X: 139 Y: 446 dying from wounds sustained from an Owlbear attack. When the party initiate a conversation with his siblings, Edowin's tadpole will connect with that of the player character's. He asks the player character to protect Andrick and Brynna. Edowin inevitably dies from his wounds and cannot be saved by healing.

After Edowin dies, the voice of the Dream Visitor will prompt the player character to further examine his body. The voice encourages the player character to recover a Mind Flayer Parasite Specimen from within Edowin.

If the player character successfully resists being forced to collect the tadpole, the tadpole will attempt to flee and will rush down the hill and disappear within one environmental turn. Turn-based mode can be entered quickly after interacting with Edowin's corpse to allow the party to attack the loose tadpole. This will grant 10 XP.

• Wisdom DC 12 - Force your mind shut. You will not be influence by an illithid parasite.
