Larger Giant Spider can be found in the Goblin Camp in Act One.

Act One

Larger Giant Spider and their comrade, Smaller Giant Spider, are held in the spider pits in the Shattered Sanctum. The party can convince the spiders not to attack them or to divert their attacks toward the goblins instead.

• Without  Speak with Animals, an DC 10 Animal Handling check is required to do either.
• With Speak with Animals:
  • DC 10 Deception check to convince the spiders not to attack the party
  • DC 10 Persuasion check to convince the spiders to attack the goblins. Choosing this option will inspire characters with the Charlatan background.

Convincing the spiders to attack the goblins will affect companion approval: +1  +1

• Despite their names and outward appearances, both the Smaller and Larger Giant Spiders weigh exactly the same.
• Larger Giant Spider grants 10 XP when killed.
