Jaheira is a Half-Elf character who previously appeared in both Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, and now makes a returning appearance in Baldur's Gate 3. She is initially introduced to the player during Act Two as an NPC, but if players make the right choices, she can eventually become a Camp Follower and party member.
Gameplay
- In Baldur's Gate 3, Jaheira has the Soldier background, and the default class of Druid. At subsequent level-ups, her default subclass is Circle of the Land, but the player can fully adjust her character build as desired.
- Jaheira is not available as an Origin during character creation, but having her in the party during Act Three offers the player a lot of unique interactions and reactions that heavily reference the prior Baldur's Gate games.

Jaheira can be fully recruited only after you have defeated Ketheric Thorm. Until then she is only a temporary companion. If the Last Light Inn is destroyed but you are still allied with her you can offer her to stay at your camp. She will do so but will not be available as a companion until Act 3.

Jaheira favors direct approaches and is not interested in flattery.The following story and dialogue choices will cause Jaheira to gain approval. She loves snarky jokes even at her own expense.

Act Three
- Volunteer a companion, other than her, to Dribbles' show
- Tell Fist Rowan "They're innocent people. You can't just kill them!"
- Tell Tinker Nayzeem that the way people treat refugees is terrible.
- As a Baldurian, tell Saer Grotpoll that his accent sounds more Rivington than Baldur's Gate ( +1)
- Try to help the Dying Stone Lord Thug ( +1)
- Donate 500 gold for refugees to Manip Nestor.
- Take the Cursed Monk's curse and withstand it.
- Persuade Angry Mar'hyah (found near the post office) to let you keep Scratch.
- Deceive Angry Mar'hyah about animal abuse rules.
- Pick "I do all I can to keep my loved ones safe from my blade" in the first dialogue with Gyldro Angleiron the Smith.
- Consent to be arrested by the Steel Watcher at the gate between Rivington and Wyrm's Crossing.
- Notice Jaheira signal to attack the doppleganger at Danthelon's Dancing Axe.
- Take Geraldus side on the conversation following the battle at Danthelon's Dancing Axe.
- In Carm's Garm, tell Naaber that while everyone likes dogs, nobody likes Naaber. Requires multiple dialogues with him.
- Get into Wyrm's Rock by showing the Archdukal Coronation Admission Pass to the guards.
- Convince the Flaming Fist quartermaster Arkleia Oloril to trade by using Detect Thoughts.
- When talking with Ninge-Fingers Keene the first time, say you are Jaheira's friend.
- When talking with Ninge-Fingers Keene, in the same conversation as above, say Jaheira is not alone.
Camp/Conversation
- When you ask about her past experiences with the Dead Three and when she has answered as your wise and wizened elder, say "Please. You're only one of those things."
- Tell her "Who are you speaking to? Maybe I'm the parasite, puppeting this body." while asking about her past.
- After the event at Danthelon's Dancing Axe, agree to look for Minsc.
- After reaching Lower City, ask wether she interested with Gortash offer.
- Call her ancient.
- Say that Orin is trying to make you paranoid (Nature check required)
- Tell her that her experience will be an asset

- Say "All hail the High Harper!" when you chose her as Dribbles' assistant, revealing her secret organisation affiliation to the entire crowd.
- Refuse to be arrested by the Steel Watcher at the gate between Rivington and Wyrm's Crossing.
- Try Hoots Hooligan's special hooch at Sharess' Caress.
Trivia
- Jaheira is voiced by Tracy Wiles, replacing Heidi Shannon from previous games.
- Unlike other companions, Jaheira, alongside Minsc, was revealed in a trailer at the Video Game Awards 2022.
- It was first revealed in an article that she and Minsc would be recruitable, but that they would not be available as Origin Characters.
- Jaheira has multiple references to her past voice lines, such as "Nature's servant awaits".
- Before going into Moonrise Towers she quotes Alaundo the Seer (...so sayeth the wise Alaundo). His prophecy was a central point in the first Baldur's Gate game.
