Monk Weapons apparently don't include Hand Crossbows[edit source]

I tried to proc Martial Arts: Bonus Unarmed Strike with one and two Hand Crossbows, at short, standard, and long distances. None of them worked. I updated the page and marked it with [Needs Verification]. If anyone confirms it, you can delete the tag and this entry.

Duplicate Class Features[edit source]

Way of Open Hand is currently listed as receiving the Ki Resonation Feature at both level 9 and level 11. According to the Way of Open Hand page, it comes at level 9.

Monk Ki DC Calculation[edit source]

Possibly a bug, but Ki DC calculation seems to be (10 + Dex/Str Modifier) instead of (8 + Proficiency Modifier + Wis Modifier). Discussion on r/BG3Builds: https://old.reddit.com/r/BG3Builds/comments/15ufo0v/

Previous KI Section[edit source]

Ki Point is a resource specific to Monk. It is the magic that flows through all living beings, and is used to cast certain abilities that the Monk class can learn.

At level 1, the Monk starts with 2 charges of Ki Point, and gain one more every subsequent level. Expended Charges can be restored by taking a short rest, or, if the Monk's subclass is Way of the Four Elements Way of the Four Elements, at level 3 they can use Harmony of Fire and Water Harmony of Fire and Water, otherwise if the Monk's subclass is Way of the Open Hand Way of the Open Hand, at level 6 they can use Wholeness of Body Wholeness of Body.

The table below shows (non-exhaustive) examples of the unique Ki abilities offered by each subclass.

Subclass Spell Name Description
Way of the Four Elements Blade of Rime Blade of Rime + 2 Throw a shard of ice that deals 1d10Damage TypesPiercing damage. It explodes and deals 2d6Damage TypesCold to anyone nearby. It leaves an ice surface.
Way of the Four Elements Harmony of Fire and Water Harmony of Fire and Water Recover half of your max Ki Points outside of combat. Can only be used once per long rest.
Way of Shadow Darkness Icon.png Shadow Arts: Darkness + 2 Create a dark shroud that heavily Obscures and Blinds creatures within. Creatures cannot make ranged attacks into or out of it.
