Our dear friend,
You might have heard by now of the strange attacks on Selûnite enclaves across the Sword Coast. Aylin and I have been investigating tirelessly, but we can find no pattern, no cause. Aylin is beside herself with fury, and I'm not far behind her. I know we'll find the culprit, though I sometimes wish you were joined to our cause. But you've done your part for the realms. Now it's time we do ours.
Apart from this dreadful matter, we are well. After all we've faced, whatever life may offer is most welcome. Aylin sends her regards - most heartily, as I'm sure you can imagine.
