Involvement[edit | edit source]
Act One[edit | edit source]
As the party approaches the area above the spider pit in the Shattered Sanctum of the Goblin Camp, they encounter goblin warriors Druk and Bez planning to push Smythin into the pit. If they are left alone, Smythin will be shoved and die on impact.
It is possible to save Smythin if Druk and Bez are killed or removed from the room. This can be done in a number of ways, such as pushing or throwing the goblins themselves into the pit. To prevent the entire camp from becoming hostile toward the party, you can throw a Potion of Invisibility at Smythin. Alternatively, a party member can cast over the area or use stealth.
If Smythin is saved, he flees and disappears permanently.
If arriving in the camp for the first time with Sazza as an Attached Follower, Smythin will not spawn at all.
Notes[edit | edit source]
- Smythin can be drawn toward the party with Command: Approach; however, if he does not move far enough away from the goblins, Druk will run up to him and shove him anyway.
- Regardless of whether Smythin falls, once Smythin is shoved, he will die.
- Saving Smythin grants Inspiration to a character with the Folk Hero background.
