The Small Portrait of Vlaakith is an interactable object located in the Crèche Y'llek found underneath Rosymorn Monastery.
Involvement[edit | edit source]
Upon interacting with the painting, Lae'zel identifies the depicted as Vlaakith.
If passing a DC 21 History check a small symbol painted on it can be recognized as a comet, the sign of Orpheus.
It is possible to deface the painting by passing a DC 16 Dexterity check. If succeeding the check, the painting is turned into the Vandalised Portrait of Vlaakith, featuring a beard, bushy eyebrows, a monocle and horns. Otherwise, if the check is not passed, the painting is turned into the Portrait of Vlaakith, with some dashes of orange paint running down the canvas.
In both instances Youth Vis'kiir comes over and frantically tries to undo the damage before any inquisitor sees. If failing the above check and then spoken to, he puts any consequence befalling the inhabitants of the Crèche on the party. However, this does not appear to happen while the party is there and the vandalism is not noticed by the two Githyanki patrolling the vicinity, Raider Ahu'u'rag and Warrior Yr'rk.
Vandalising the painting with a sucessful roll causes a chastising from Lae'zel, and may cause a loss of Approval with her and an increase with Astarion and Shadowheart.
