Overview[edit | edit source]

Doni might be neurodivergent. He doesn't talk and tries to avoid eye contact if spoken to. Like many other children, he will react with written dialogue when certain animals aproach him, such as Dire Raven Companion.

Doni is part of the children's gang led by Mol Mol and he is Rikka Rikka's ward.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Before ending up a refugee in the Druid Grove, Doni lost his father as well as his home.

When starting a conversation with him, the party can "Turn around to see what has his attention", resulting in a passive DC 10 Perception check. If successful, the child will slip between the rocks and the party is offered a DC 10 Investigation check "Search the rocks for an opening". If successful, it reveals the Concealed Hatch, which is the main entrance for the Tiefling Hideout (as opposed to the small-race entrance near the waterfall). It also rewards 15 xp.

Alternatively, after successfully rescuing Mirkon Mirkon during Investigate the Beach Investigate the Beach, the party can give Doni the password, resulting in him revealing the Concealed Hatch.

A message from Doni to his father can be found in the Message in a Bottle in the The Festering Cove.
