Action Monk DeflectMissile.png

Deflect Missiles is a Reaction gained by Monk at Level 3. Deflect Missiles allows the Monk to reduce incoming damage from ranged weapon attacks and optionally return the projectile.

Description

Use your reaction to reduce the damage from a ranged weapon attack by 1d10 + your Dexterity Modifier + your monk level. If the damage is reduced to 0, you use a Ki Point to Deflect the Missile.

Properties

Reaction

  • Deflect Missiles
    • Spend your Reaction to reduce the damage by 1d10 + your Dexterity Dexterity + your monk level .
    • Recharge: Once Per Round (Resource: Reaction)
    • Recharge: Long rest (Undocumented Resource: DeflectMissiles_Charge); See Bug in Notes
  • Deflect Missiles (Return)

Notes

  • You can only reduce damage from the attack - any additional effects can't be negated.
    • This means Deflect Missiles (Return) can not be use on such attacks even if the attack damage was reduced to 0.
  • Bug: The damage reduction part of Deflect Missiles also depends on the DeflectMissiles_Charge, so if Deflect Missiles (Return) is used you are unable to use Deflect Missiles at all until you have taken a long rest.
