Involvement[edit | edit source]

Greenfern wanders back and forth the corridor in the lower part of the Szarr Palace, one that divides the Kennels and the spawn dormitories. From time to time he rubs and cleans walls and pieces of furniture around. If spoken to, he behaves as if thoroughly brainwashed, not even paying much attention to who he is talking to.

The player character can ask Astarion Astarion (if he is in the party) about Greenfern and other servants in the palace, particularly about their strange behaviour. Astarion describes them all as "fanatics, here of their own free will and utterly devoted to Cazador <...>, idiots who brought this on themselves" [1].

Combat[edit | edit source]

If entering combat with the residents of the palace, Greenfern joins them against the party.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  1. Despite Astarion's scornful and dismissive observations, in-game dialogue files for Greenfern and other servants suggests that they too would likely have served their "new master" with the same ardour and humility. Alas, regardless of the Rite outcome, Greenfern and his colleagues inevitably die by the moment the party members return to the palace proper from the dungeon.
