His husband is speculated to be the [[Garrett|Dead Refugee]] that is by the cliffside in Rivington (named [[Garrett]], which you can find out if using [[Speak with Dead]]) for two main reasons. The first is that the [[Our Offer Remains Open]] note on Dairow Vin's body notes that his husband was also a refugee, and if you use Speak with Dead, you will discover that he fled from the Absolutes armies, much like Dairow Vin's husband had. Secondly, and more importantly, on the refugee's body is the [[Gemless Ring]], which when combined with the [[Ringless Gem]], held by [[Ferg Drogher]], creates a [[Tarnished Ring]]. If you pickpocket or kill Dairow Vin, you will find a similar tarnished ring as his only belonging held on his person. History
Dairow and his husband fled Elturel for a better life. At some point they separated, Dairow taking work with the Guild, and his husband travelling with a group of refugees. [1]
After losing contact with his husband, Dairow contacted guildmaster Nine-Fingers Keene to try and find information on his whereabouts. The Guild were able to track the latest refugees he was travelling with, but after crossing paths with the Absolute's forces, the entire group went missing without a trace.[1]
