The Ravaged Beach is a Location within the Wilderness in Act One of Baldur's Gate 3. This is the location the player character arrives at immediately after the events of the Prologue.

Located on the bank of the River Chionthar, the Ravaged Beach is dominated by wreckage from the Nautiloid crash. Corpses of fishermen and Intellect Devourers dot the area. Several makeshift docks line the coast, but both them and the fishing boats that used them have been destroyed. To the east is an Ancient Door leading to the Dank Crypt. To the north is the Emerald Grove.

East beach[edit | edit source]

After the events of the Prologue, the player character will begin Act One on the beach. If Shadowheart Shadowheart was rescued from the Mind Flayer Pod during the Prologue, she can be recruited into the party at X: 273 Y: 223. If Shadowheart was not rescued from the pod, she can be recruited near the Overgrown Ruins Waypoint Waypoint at X: 276 Y: 298. The Ancient Door next to this waypoint can be opened with a DC 20 Sleight of Hand check, which grants access to the Dank Crypt, a sublocation of the Overgrown Ruins. If the party fail to open the door, the Dank Crypt can still be accessed through the Chapel Entrance or the Refectory.

West beach[edit | edit source]

Astarion Astarion can be recruited near the Nautiloid Wreck at X: 170 Y: 288. After the party encounter Astarion, a Scared Boar can be found on the cliffs nearby.

West of the Nautiloid Wreck on the far side of the beach is a cache left by Harpers at X: 143 Y: 281. It can be accessed by jumping down the ledges near the water at X: 168 Y: 263. A successful DC 10 Nature check near the cache will reveal deep grooves around a scuffed rock. A character with sufficient Strength can move the rock, revealing an Ornate Chest containing a Harper's Map and Harper's Notebook, along with minor loot.

Nautiloid Wreck[edit | edit source]

The Nautiloid Wreck from the Prologue divides the Ravaged Beach. The southern section of the wreck is guarded by a trio of injured Intellect Devourers at X: 230 Y: 271.

Mind flayer (nautiloid wreck) A dying Mind Flayer can be found in the northern section of the Nautiloid Wreck at X: 180 Y: 320. Killing it earns Inspiration Icon.png To Sleep, Perchance to Dream, Tentacled Dreams for the Haunted One.

Roadside Cliffs[edit | edit source]

The Roadside Cliffs sprawl north of the Nautiloid Wreck and south of the Emerald Grove, between the Forest in the west, and the Overgrown Ruins in the east. The Roadside Cliffs are littered with broken Goblin traps.

Giving in or resisting the urge earns Inspiration Icon.png Indulge Thine Appetites or Inspiration Icon.png Subdue Thine Appetites for the Haunted One, respectively.

Another potential companion, Lae'zel Lae'zel, can be found trapped by Tieflings at X: 242 Y: 370.

A buried chest and Shovel can be found at X: 202 Y: 386.

Harper Outpost[edit | edit source]

Tucked away high in the Roadside Cliffs is a Harper Outpost, featuring a watchtower and a small spider-filled crevice X: 160 Y: 373. A Silver Pendant can be found on a skeleton in the outpost X: 152 Y: 366, while a Spider Egg Sac can be procured along with some Gold and 5 XP.
