Gomwick is found dead in the Forest with Scratch the dog guarding him.
Involvement
Using 
can reveal that he was courier on a delivery to Baldur's Gate. Until Scratch has been calmed down, the dog will not allow Gomwick's body to be looted.
It is possible to return the letters that Gomwick was carrying to Sword Coast Couriers in Act Three. There is no reward for this, but Danzo Arkwright will express his sorrow at hearing of Gomwick's demise.
