Andrick is a novice of the Absolute. He is searching the Wilderness for survivors of the Nautiloid Wreck alongside his fellow believers Edowin and Brynna.
Chapter One
Andrick is found in the Forest at X: 139 Y: 446 worrying over his brother, Edowin, who is dying from the wounds sustained from an owlbear attack. He is more trusting of the players.
Andrick has been tasked with looking for survivors of the Nautiloid Wreck. If the player reveals they are a survivor, or otherwise reveals themselves to not be a follower of the Absolute, he and his sister will turn aggressive.
If the player does not reveal their allegiance, the remaining siblings will ask the player what they should do next. They can be convinced to keep looking, to leave for the Goblin Camp, or to seek out the owlbear that attacked them. Whatever the case, so long as thing are resolved peaceful with the cultists, the party is rewarded 70 Experience. He can prove a useful ally against the beast and if he survives can be told alongside Brynna to either continue their search for survivors of the Nautiloid or return to the Goblin Camp.
In the Goblin Camp, Andrick will greet the player and say he's still getting used to rubbing elbows with Goblins. He will turn hostile with the rest of the camp if you attack the leaders within the Shattered Sanctum or after the raid on the Emerald Grove.
Killing both Brynna and Andrick will reward the The Dark Urge with the Reuniting Friends Inspiration.
Attacks and Abilities
Main Hand Attack - Longsword Two-Handed
Attack roll: +3
- Is not proficient in longswords despite wielding one, likely because he's classed as a Cleric. Thus, he can not use any Weapon Actions or adds his Proficiency Bonus to attacks.
Throw
Attack roll: +5
- Will throw an Acid Vial.
Companion Interactions
When meeting Brynna and Andrick over the dying Edowin in the Forest
- "I'm a survivor of that crash. Looks like you found me."
- "You need to find the beast and avenge your brother."
- "Forget the owlbear. You're still alive - so go." OR "The beast is already dead. You should go"
Other Interactions
If you told them to go avenge Edowin, you can have them attack the Owlbear first by talking to Andrick.
- Illithid Wisdom DC 2 - "You have no choice. Go"
- Performance DC 5 - "The Absolute has plans for you, child - and they only begin here."
- Intimidation DC 10 - "I won't tolerate cowardice. Attack - now."
- Nature DC 5 - "Press your advantage now, before the beast smells your fear."
After the fight, they either of them can be talked to and either to return to the nearest stronghold or keep looking for the crash survivors. Or Andrick can be questioned on what they were doing and telling that you are who they are looking for, causing them to attack the adventurers.
Notes
While seemingly attacking like a Fighter, Andrick is actually a Cleric despite not casting any spells. This is likely because of his low Wisdom or somehow not having any spell prepared.
