Add Functionality to Staff

I think it would be really cool if there was an interaction between the Staff of the Moonmaiden and the status of Seluna in the Underdark. I think that if you have a charater that wields the staff you should get a small radius of effect called something like "Aura of the Moonmaiden" which would prevent the statues from attacking you as you approach the gate.

I'm not sure if that would be a little overpowered, but considering you can cheese the statues in turn based mode or shoot the statues' eyes to temporarily deactivate them, I think it might be a fun quality of life improvement. This would allow you to role-play better so you don't have to destroy the crystal powering the statues to safely pass.

If that is too easy, maybe there can be an item that the player can find somewhere else in the Underdark and it can be combined with the staff to give the effect. Or maybe an interaction can be added with the water font in front of the power statue with the crystal to reactivate the staff's "aura power."

Overall, I think this idea would be fun and makes a lot of sense lore-wise. I'm interested to hear other ideas. Nixxanator (talk) 21:33, 28 December 2024 (CET)Reply[reply]
