Wilderness
The Wilderness is a large region and Location within Chapter One of Baldur's Gate 3. It is one of the main areas of Chapter One and contains many other locations.
The Wilderness is a heavily forested area to the east of Baldur's Gate. A tribe of Goblins have made their home there, as well as several other types of monsters. Overgrown ruins can also be found here alongside several entrances to the Underdark.
Getting to the Wilderness
After completing the Prologue, the player will find themselves at the Ravaged Beach - a location in the Wilderness.

Other Areas and Landmarks
Astarion
West of the crashed Nautiloid X: 170 Y: 288 is Astarion, a possible companion. He is looking for some help defeating Intellect Devourers.
Harper Cache
West of the crashed Nautiloid, down a ledge near the water is a scuffed rock X: 141 Y: 282. Succeeding on a Nature check will reveal deep grooves around it. If a character strong enough can move the rock, an Ornate Chest underneath will be revealed. This chest contains:
And a small amount of gold and gemstones.
Lae'zel
Lae'zel, who was previously met on the Nautiloid, has been trapped by two Tieflings, Damays and Nymessa X: 237 Y: 371. If the player approaches, Lae'zel commands them to free her. If she is freed, the player may have her join the party as a companion.
Freeing Lae'zel will require persuading, intimidating, deceiving, or killing the two Tieflings.
Gale
If the player approaches the Roadside Cliffs waypoint, Gale, a possible companion, will teleport in front of them. He suggests working together to find a solution to the Tadpole problem and can be invited to join the party.
