Why removing the icons?

Hi! We've been moving away from the pervasive use of icons on the wiki for some time, and this template was one of the "main offenders" so to speak. The issue with these icons is they need to be quite large to be clearly visible, which causes scaling issues and display incompatibilities across browsers, resolutions and user settings. Could it be possible to re-add the icons via a parameter (even if that parameter was turned off by default)? I understand that the main wiki wants to avoid overuse of icons, but having the icon as an option for community/guide/sandbox pages would be nice. Willach (talk) 19:29, 11 January 2024 (CET)

You can use one of the icon templates for cases where you may want to use the icons anwyay, but since that would require everyone to memorise the class icon names, I'll try think of other solutions, but a parameter may be an option, yeah. Willowisp (talk) 19:35, 11 January 2024 (CET)
