:The main page should probably be corrected that the companion with the highest approval who is not currently in your party is prioritized, not the lowest. ::Agree with the above, I also found the notes in the game files on highest approval behind the kidnapping priority. Regarding romances, the spam filter prevented me from linking to the IGN interview ("Baldur's Gate 3 Developers Explain Its Controversial Endings, Beloved Characters, and Making the Best RPG of 2023") where the developers discussed how they changed away from having the romanced partner always being the kidnap victim based on playtest feedback. ::No it's not highest affinity, either. In my run with romanced Lae'zel, and affinity order Lae'zel, Gale, Halsin, and Minthara (who's really quite low, I am playing goody-two shoes lawful stupid), I did lots of testing by entering the sewers beyond The Emperor's Hideout, below the Elfsong...
:: - with no party members in the party, it was Halsin kidnapped. I tried this both as just solo Tav, and with a full party of non-targets, same result both times.
:: - with all in party but Lae'zel, it was Yenna... Figured this had to do with her being romanced.
:: - with Lae'zel, Minty and Halsin at camp (but Gale in my party)... it was Minthara?... This is the biggest question I have here??? How did this happen??
:: - with Lae'zel, Gale and Halsin at camp (Minty in party) it was Halsin again. [[Special:Contributions/66.25.255.100|66.25.255.100]] 04:12, 17 August 2024 (CEST)
:I am almost 100% sure its a priority list. My set up: Lae'zel 94 approval, Gale 100, Halsin and Minthy 58 each. If no one was in the party, Lae'zel was taken every time.
