Honorary Flaming Fist Junior Inspector No. 3 (address provided by dessicated skeleton, name of Withers)
Greetings, and congratulations!
I thought naming you Honorary Junior Investigator would go some small way to thanking you for your help with the Bhaal cult (and should leave me with much less paperwork to do should we need to draft your help again). We've been doing our best to clean up the remaining Bhaalists in this city - starting with the Bhaal Temple. What an absolutely fascinating place - but by gods does it reek. That's the thing books about Bhaal never really get across - the stench.
Found a lot of bad stuff in there. You know they were ritually killing other Bhaalspawn? What a waste. I'm hoping the Society of Brilliance can do something with the relics we uncover - gods know I'd love to visit an exhibit, even if I've seen it all first hand already.
I'd love to catch up and pick your brain about a few cases whenever you're next in the Gate.
Yours faithfully,
Devella Fountainhead.
PS. I'd avoid the Elfsong, if I were you. Investigator Valeria has racked up quite the tab, and has assured the landlord that you promised to settle it next time you're in the city.

You DID IT, Bhaalspawn! And a bloody good job, too. Or, not so bloody, rather.
You had everything out there before you. more than the world itself. But you chose to be nothing, to save us all. You're a real Baldurian, and a real hero.
I've sent my Fist down to the Bhaal Temple - they finally understand what all the fuss was all about. Got plenty of work in now chasing down any connected to the cult, now everyone's on board. Saw your old office - rancid stuff. It's going to take me years to start matching all the murders you're responsible for against all the unsolved cases I have from the last 20 years. But don't worry - you have the city's freedom. No arrests from now on from the Fist - even if you try to take a long nap in the street.
I may have given a few of your things to the Society of Brilliance. The Bhaal Icon had some graffito drawn over it - of a lot of cheering messages about your triumph and only a few obscene objects shoved into its mouth. Seems a bit of a shame, though. It needs to go into a museum so we can remember, you know? You're living history.
I'd love to catch up one day. Honestly, I can't stop telling everyone I meet about you, and that to me, you were just an upright, open, honest citizen like any other.
Devella Fountainhead.
