Alexander Rainforest

Alexander Rainforest was a citizen of Baldur's Gate. He was working as an ombudsman in Grey Harbour Docks in Lower City. When the party reach him in Act Three, Rainforest is already dead.

Act Three

Alexander Rainforest's corpse can be found on the second floor of the Rainforest's Home at X: -93 Y: -109. Notably, his corpse is missing a hand.

Rainforest is a victim of serial killer Dolor, who murders people to please Bhaal, the God of Murder, in the hopes of becoming an Unholy assassin. Alexander's name is listed alongside other planned victims in Bloodstained Parchment, where he is marked as Killed.

If spoken to via  Speak with Dead, Alexander reveals that he was investigating the ownership history of Candulhallow's Tombstones. To unveil the truth, he watched the place himself, hired Zhentarim agents, and eventually became so keen on the matter that he even stopped mingling with friends.

• Ratin Sesescor, the rat dwelling in Rainforest's Home, refers to Alexander as 'cheese-dropper', but feels no remorse about eating his remains after his death.
