Absorb Elements is a passive feature/reaction that absorbs half damage from the next elemental attack targeting the user and adds that element type as an additional 1d6 damage on the user's next attack.

Description

Absorb elemental damage once per Short Rest. Take half damage from the next elemental attack targeting you, and deal an additional 1d6 of that element type on your next attack.

How to learn

Notes

  • This reaction halves damage by granting resistances to the elemental damage types when triggered. Since resistances do not stack, this will not reduce the damage further if the user already has the applicable resistances.
  • Absorb Elements can apply its damage bonus multiple times to a single weapon attack.
