Tara, speaking to Gale

Act One

Tara first appears upon the first Long Rest of the game, specifically if Gale is chosen as a Player Character. She will note Gale's somewhat ill appearance, and express concern. She will also provide Gale with a magic item he can consume when he awakes, to prevent the Netherese Orb from detonating. She will remain within the Campsite.

Act Three

Tara appears later - regardless of the player character - on the roof of the Open Hand Temple in Rivington. She is involved in the quest Find the Missing Letters, and has unique dialogue when Gale is in the party.

Notable Items Sold

If spoken to with Gale in the party during the quest Find the Missing Letters, Tara appears on various rooftops in Lower City, selling one magical item each time. After buying this item and taking a Long Rest, you can find Tara on another rooftop, selling a new item. Tara only accepts Fish and/or magical items in exchange for her items.

Trivia

  • A Tressym is able to perform a number of feats for their masters and companions. Some such abilities include the ability to detect anything that is invisible and discern whether a substance is poisoned.
  • Tressym usually are unable to speak. Tara, however, is capable of speech, likely through external magical means.
