Where to find

Notes

  • As of Hotfix #5, this item seems to have no purpose other than to be sold to Traders for a bit of extra gold.
  • Lae'zel may comment on the potential of the ring when both pieces are found: 'Hm - the other part of that ring. Once repaired, it could be useful.' Any use it may have beyond being sold, however, remains unknown.
  • Karlach will comment: 'Hey, I recognise this. Fits with the other part of that shattered ring. Progress!'
  • Similarly, Astarion will comment: 'This looks familiar - the missing part from that ring. You will look lovely once you're fixed.'
  • A common version of this ring can be looted from Dairow Vin, or at the center of the Guildhall X: -23 Y: 741.
  • If offering Noblestalk to Derryth Bonecloak, she initially claims to have no reward to offer. She can be given it regardless, or a DC 10 Intimidation check incentivizes her to hand over her wedding ring which is the Tarnished Ring.
  • May be a reference to the game Elden Ring, where the player character is referred to as a Tarnished. Alternatively, may be a reference to the Pendant in Dark Souls, a starting gift that actually has no in-game use.
