Yonas

From bg3.wiki
Revision as of 21:06, 9 July 2024 by NCBlizzy (talk | contribs) (added class and faction to infobox)

Yonas is a human ranger who is part of Harpers organisation in Act Two. Before his comrades or the party can intervene, he is snatched by a Shadow and turned into a Shadow-Cursed Undead Shadow-Cursed Undead.

Involvement

Expedition

Yonas can only be encountered in the Shadow-Cursed Lands if the party enters the area through the Grymforge elevator. He was part of an expedition of Harpers led by Lassandra and consisting of Karrow, Meygan, and himself. After meeting the party and being ordered to move in, he was struck down and snatched into the surrounding darkness by a Shadow, where he called for help. He would then be killed by the Shadow Curse, and wander back into line of sight as a Shadow-Cursed Undead Shadow-Cursed Undead. The blighted Harper sides with shadows and will then be inevitably killed a second time at the hands of the party.

Once Yonas has been dispatched, Lassandra will talk to the party and mark the Last Light Inn on their map.

Last Light Inn

Should the party come to Last Light Inn, both Karrow and Meygan can be found mourning Yonas on a rocky ledge south of the docks. Meygan would be kneeled in front of a shrine, grieving Yonas, while Karrow observes her mourning from a few steps behind her. Speaking with Meygan will reveal that she had developed feelings for Yonas, and had wanted to be with him before he met his demise; it's unclear if Yonas had any idea about this, and the party can tell her that Yonas probably felt the same away. Talking with Karrow will have him remark that Yonas was "green", and thus most likely inexperienced.

The party can turn in the Harper Blade to Meygan, who will offer a reward of Gold in return for this memento of him.
