Dolor is a serial killer seeking to gain the Bhaalist title of Unholy Assassin by impressing the Murder Tribunal. He is the son of Ffion Goldgrind, who was a sex worker at Sharess' Caress before being murdered by Dolor. He is first encountered under the false name Meztli.

Murders

While most of Dolor's confirmed murders were committed in order to Impress the Murder Tribunal, the murder of his mother -- according to Ffion herself (via Speak with Dead) -- was committed simply because she discovered his "secret." According to Ffion, Dolor enjoys murder, specifically killing people slowly.

Dolor can first be encountered in the Lower City, in a few different ways, including at the "Wine Festival" where he can be found posing as a wine coneisseur (under the alias Master Meztli) in order to poison Cora Highberry. The player can expose him here, triggering a battle with several Doppelgangers, during which he will attempt to flee using his Spaceshunt Boots.

His next mark will be Figaro Pennygood, owner of Facemaker's Boutique. The player springs upon him mid-assassination and kills him in the ensuing battle. His looted corpse contains crucial hints about the location of the Bhaalist Murder Tribunal, as well as the severed hands required for entry.

Alternatively, if the player independently seeks the Murder Tribunal by becoming an unholy assassin in earnest, Dolor will be fought at the Tribunal as a professional rival.
