Depending on their approval rating, Minsc may greet the player with:

Very Low (-40 or less)^{[Needs Verification]}

Low (-20 or less)^{[Needs Verification]}

Neutral (-19 - 20)

Medium approval (20+)^{[Needs Verification]}

High approval (40+)^{[Needs Verification]}

Very High approval (60+)^{[Needs Verification]}

Exceptional approval (80+)^{[Needs Verification]}

The following story and dialogue choices will cause Minsc to gain approval.

Act Three

• Choosing "We'll find a third way. Would you two like to kill the old man, Minsc, or shall I?" in the Murder Tribunal during Investigate the Murders.  +5
• Choosing "Not in this lifetime." while speaking with Rion in Jaheira's house.  +1
• (Requires Jaheira) Tell Rion that "There are refugees outside. They'll need protection." when asked what to do.  +1
• When talking to Roah Moonglow in Guildhall as Zhentarim are trying to seize control of the guild, reply to her that "You're mistaken. Minsc of Rashamen always knows the right thing to do."  +10
• When talking to Minsc in Guildhall after resolving Nine-Fingers, reply to him that "Everyone has the potential for good.It's just buried deeper in some, or lost along the way".  +10
• When talking to Minsc about the meaning of 'nydeshka', successfully persuade him.  +10
• When speaking to Rakath Glitterbeard about losing innocent people's money, intimidate him, "I'd listen to him. Before his hamster has to give him a head rub." +1
• After defeating Viconia speak to her, then kill her.  +1
• When speaking to the Echo of Illasera at the Murder Tribunal tell her "Can't be that quick if someone cut you down."  +1
• Pay the Captain at the Grey Harbour Docks to keep the Brislen family together or Persuade him to bring the father along.  +1
• When speaking with the child Albert in the park, tell him that his dog Sparky is too fast.

Water Queen's House

• Offer a tribute or a positive prayer for the death of Holli Dylford to Allandra Grey.  +1

Camp/Conversation

• Tell him that wychlaran to him is the same as a friend. +5

Disapproval
