Passive features are qualities that modify the statistics and abilities of an entity. Most can be applied via choice of items, classes, race, level progression, or decisions made in the quests or other game actions. Many NPCs have passives unique to them, including some that are specific to certain difficulties.

Passive features differ primarily from other features by affecting the character or entity constantly at baseline, without the need to take any actions. Some passive features themselves enable actions to be taken, such as the passive features exclusive to honour mode that enable certain NPCs to use legendary actions.
