Text

Dear friend,

I doubted you for so long. Perhaps you knew that already, in spite of my best attempts. You proved yourself time and again - at Waukeen's Rest, in Moonrise Towers, in Wyrm's Rock - and still I doubted.

The netherbrain's defeat should have proven your courage. Yet I was more doubtful than ever. This was a ruse, a dream, a trick. And then one eve, from the Elfsong, I heart it: singing. A raucous, lewd, tuneless, drunken refrain. I'd never heard anything more terrible and more beautiful. I raised my voice and joined the chorus. That was the moment all my doubts melted away and were replaced with something more valuable: hope.

Baldur's Gate will be whole again. I might have doubted you - but you never did.

With profound admiration,

Florrick
