Chapter One
Quil's presence within Chapter One is extremely brief, but we get an insight into her character within that short time. She's travelling to Baldur's Gate to publish a new song she has written, and will request to stay at the party's Camp for one night. Before the party long rests, you can discover a small bit about Dragonborn culture, her talent for throat-singing, expressing her desire to roam free, away from the restrictive clan-centric culture of her people. She will also discuss love with the player, and ask if they feel anything for anyone within the camp.
Spoiler warning! This section reveals details about the story of Baldur's Gate 3.
Once you Long Rest on the night Quil appears at the camp, a cutscene will occur, showing that The Dark Urge has murdered her in much the same way Alfira would have been, had she appeared instead.
Trivia
- Quil will appear if Alfira is unavailable, whether she is already dead, knocked out, or for any other reason.
- Quil will express some passive attraction towards the player if they are playing as a Dragonborn upon first meeting. The player will not have a chance to reciprocate this, or pursue a romance with her.
