Missing note: A Letter For Home

In Jannath's mansion, when the artist isn't rescued in act 1, there are 2 nobles, Sir Gorran Penghyst and Lord Delwaer Jeth, at each other's throat. They will duel will duel oitside, and if Sir Gorran Penghyst dies, his corpse carries this letter. It reads:

Dear Daddy,

How fare everything back home? I hope elegantly and without truculence.

Look, Daddykins, I amn't going to bugger around the bush here. I need coin. Cash. Moneys. Squids as they say down at the docks.

I have eight potential patrons for my music chomping at the bit. Another month and they'll be growling and biting, and that is when I'll swear fealty and make my fortune! Meantime: squids please! Your darling boy must eat!

With Love,

Your Aspiring Bard, and Actual Son

Missing note: Tin Mine Report

In Jannath's mansion, when the artist isn't rescued in act 1, there are 2 nobles, Sir Gorran Penghyst and Lord Delwaer Jeth, at each other's throat. They will duel will duel oitside, and if Lord Delwaer Jeth dies, his corpse carries this letter. It reads:

Dear Lady Jannath-

I did everything I could think of to get production back up to former levels, but it's no good - the Beldenshyn tin mine is just tapped out. My best advice is to find a patriar family with too much money and not enough sense and sell it to them. But show them last year's samples.

- Skalgarrad, General Manager, Jannath Mines

Missing note: Scrawled Note

In Jannath's mansion, when the artist isn't rescued in act 1, Doorman Phubbs welcomes the guests. If he dies his corpse has the following note:

[A hastily written note on the torn-off corner of an invitation]

You. Me. A gallon of the Mermaid's finest swill - sound like a plan?

Meet me in the usual spot after the toffs have buggered off home.

- B

Missing note: Admit Two - Oasis Theatre

In Jannath's mansion, when the artist isn't rescued in act 1, there's a noble woman, Lady Flytebon. If she dies her corpse has the following note:

Admit Two to the Oasis Theatre for Goodnight's smash production of 'Three Flumphs in the Attic'

Missing note: Scrap of Paper

In Jannath's mansion, when the artist isn't rescued in act 1, there's an NPC running around serving food, Furbleston. If he dies, his corpse has a note which reads:

Note: Black coat's got the heaviest pockets. then pocketbook of the Duke's clerk. Always comes up for a smoke at midnight; get in and out after.

Missing note: Parchment (Jannath's Estate)

In Jannath's mansion, when the artist isn't rescued in act 1, there are 2 nobles, Impurto Nexim and Saer Dokksill, talking. If Impurto Nexim dies, his corpse has a note which reads:

To the Esteemed Lord Nexim,

Please allow me to offer my sincere and heartfelt condolences - to lose both of one's parents in such rapid succession is truly an agony for which there is no balm.

Fortunately, I believe my spirits and I are able to soothe your anxieties with regards to their missing will. When it comes to matters of inheritence, the dead always prove most eager to clarify their intent.

Come to my mansion at the seafront, and we will see what we can learn. Given the delicacy of this request, I will of course require payment in advance.

Yours in spirit,

Mystic Carrion

P.S. when called for, "secreta mortuorum" will grant you access.

Missing note: To Oskar Fevras

In Jannath's mansion there's a note in a chest which reads:

[This letter is penned on fine parchment with a precise hand.]

Oskar.

The tone and manner of your correspondence is most inappropriate - practically scandalous.

Do adjust your tone in future letters, I implore you.

Lady Jannath

[The letter is cleverly folded to obscure a small, hastily scrawled postscript]

I eagerly await my next sitting - return to the manor in a tenday's time. Use the servant's entrance, be discreet. - F

Missing note: Fancy Letter

Found in Jannath's estate, it reads:

Darling Firelia

My word! Your father and I were so delighted to hear of your betrothal, and to a painter no less! Given your groom's unconventional background, we'd be happy to put forward any sum you require for the ceremony - after all, one's daughter is only wedded once! Unless you're a Gruthmere, of course - I'll have to tell you about that one another time.

As for your nuptuals, perhaps we could employ the High Hall? Or would you prefer something grander? We're very open to suggestions.

All my love,

Mother

P.S. I tried reaching out to that talented husband-to-be of yours (please forgive me, I meant you no embarassment!), but he has yet to respond. It would perhaps behove him to draft a reply. Soon.

    • the typo in embarrassment is part of the letter

Missing note: Letter from Mother

Found in Jannath's estate, it reads:

My darling daughter

I hope life as a newly-wed is all you hoped it would be. Life in the Upper City is pleasant as ever - the flowers in the garden are blooming beautifully, though not a patch on your bouquet.

I do hope you'll visit soon - it's been far too long. Come any time, and stay as long as you wish.

With much love, as always

Mother

Missing note: Dearest Fireliia

Found in the ashes of the fireplace in Jannath's estate. It reads:

[A charred love note, nearly illegible, addressed to Lady Jannath, apparently from a rejected suitor. The name of the sender has been burned away.]
