Recent removal of Warlock Equipment section
Hi there,
I noticed the removal of the section I added in the Warlock of Notable Equipment. I'm not sure I agree with your reasoning; given the VERY extensive spread of items in the game with very different effects, and the wide variety of ways of finding them, I would believe anyone would find such a quick-reference of equipment useful for any class. Not everyone is adept at picking through item lists to find good matches like that, and while doing my search I definitely saw other items that are basically custom-made for other classes. That wasn't a be-all, end-all list, it was more of a suggestion given how well it meshes with the abilities of nearly EVERY possible Warlock build, and the hyperlinks to the items can also let a player quickly find out how to get them if they so choose. The main reason I started writing that section was because I always wanted such a list in the first place to refer to, and since there wasn't one I started building it myself.
Are you sure you won't allow such lists on the class pages?

- Hi! While your edit is absolutely appreciated, contributions in the main wiki space (such as classes) generally have to be written using a neutral or balanced point of view (see Content rules and Editing Policy), and that's very difficult to accomplish with item recommendations or suggestions. However, you can always start coordinating with other editors to create a Community Guide (I encourage you to!) together for the Warlock page. Or, if you prefer, you can always create your own User guide instead. While you can't link to User guides from the class pages, you can do so from your own user page. If you still disagree with the consensus not to include item recommendations on main wiki pages, it's great you're discussing it. That's how wikis improve and evolve! - Hi there! I appreciate your concern, my reasoning came from a purely technical standpoint as our class pages in their current state do not have a way to properly reference information that cannot be included in the class ToC (the class progression table at the top of the page). In this particular case, a gear list without proper referencing in table of contents or otherwise would be pretty hard to find, as it would be unintuitive for newer users to click "12th level" link in the ToC to get to the gear section, or to scroll manually all the way down every time. We are actively working on improvement and implementation of Guides and other sources of information to our pages, and every bit of feedback helps. T-Furan (talk) 11:26, 26 October 2023 (CEST)
