The Small Portrait of Vlaakith is an interactable object located in the Crèche Y'llek found underneath Rosymorn Monastery.

Involvement

Upon interacting with the painting, Lae'zel Lae'zel will identify the depicted as Vlaakith Vlaakith. If passing a DC 21 History check a small symbol painted on it can be recognized as a comet, the sign of Orpheus Orpheus.

It is possible to deface the painting by passing a DC 16 Dexterity check. If succeeding the check, the painting will be turned into the Vandalised Portrait of Vlaakith, featuring a beard, bushy eyebrows, a monocle and horns. Otherwise, if the check is not passed, the painting will turn into the Portrait of Vlaakith, with some dashes of orange paint running down the canvas.

In both instances Vis'kiir Youth Vis'kiir will come over and frantically try to undo the damage before any inquisitor sees. If failing the roll, he will additionally if spoken to put any consequence befalling the inhabitants of the Crèche on the party, although it doesn't seem to happen while the party being there. And the vandalism will not be noticed by the two Githyanki, Ahu'u'rag Raider Ahu'u'rag and Yr'rk Warrior Yr'rk, patrolling in the vicinity.

Vandalising the painting with a sucessful roll will cause a chastising from Lae'zel, and can cause loss of Approval with her and increase it with Astarion Astarion and Shadowheart Shadowheart.
