Cleave

Cleave is a Weapon Action. This action is available to characters that are proficient in and are wielding Battleaxes, Halberds, Greataxes, or Greatswords in their main hand.

Description

Swing your weapon in a large arc to attack up to 3 enemies at once. They each take half the damage your weapon usually deals.

• Attack roll
• AoE: 2 m / 5 ft (Cone)
• Recharge: Short rest

Notes

• Cleave only reduces the damage from your weapon damage dice and your Strength modifier. Flat damage bonus effects such as from Great Weapon Master or Rage are not reduced.
• If there are more than 3 enemies in the attack area, this action targets the 3 closest enemies.
• Cleave does not hit friendly targets.
