Volothamp Geddarm, or Volo, for short, is a Camp Follower in Baldur's Gate 3. He can be first found at the Druid Grove, interviewing a bear, during Act 1.

Act 1

Volo will be found at the Ritual Room inside the Druid Grove. He will conduct an interview on the player regarding the assault on the gates. After the interview, he will head towards the Goblin Camp.

The player will find Volo again, this time as a captive, forced to be jester and "entertainment" for the goblins. The player will be able to rescue him inside the Defiled Temple, through a skill check. If rescued, he will head towards the player's camp.

Depending on whose side the player chose, he will be either a free man or a caged one during the Party, where he'll sing a song for the player.

Volo can attempt to remove the Tadpole. Doing this will end in catastrophe, but will pity the player and give them Volo's Ersatz Eye in compensation. He will then leave.
