A Purple Fluorite Shard is a common Alchemy Crystal that's purpose is to be sold for gold. Alchemy is not implemented in EA yet.

A common Underdark crystal, fluorite seems to form anywhere where light is scarce, though only bigger stones are suitable for mining.

Where to find

They can be collected by destroying Glowing Gems in Decrepit Village.
