Idol of Silvanus image

The Idol of Silvanus is a Miscellaneous item the druids of the Druid Grove are using to conduct the Rite of Thorns, a ritual which will cut off the grove from the rest of the world.

Description Icon.png

A wooden statue of Silvanus, the Oak Father, god of nature and its impartial fairness. Those near the idol seem to better understand the natural world.

Properties

Effect

When held in a party member's inventory, that character and all nearby party members and companions receive Silvanus's Blessing, which grants proficiency in Nature and Animal Handling. This effect has a 2.5m / 8ft radius from the party member carrying the idol.

Where to find

The idol is found in the Sacred Pool of the Druid Grove X: 241 Y: 510. It can only be obtained via stealing.

  • Normally, stealing this item will cause the druids to immediately become hostile and attack both the party and the Tieflings in the Druid Grove.
  • If the idol is stolen after the ritual has been stopped (either by completing Investigate Kagha or by saving the grove from the Goblins), the druids do not automatically become hostile if you are not caught in the act. Shortly after stealing the idol one of the druids will interrogate the party. Passing a Deception or Intimidation check will let the party get away.
