Clerk Chervis is one of the cashiers handling customers at the Counting House in the Lower City. He is too busy to talk to the party. If there is chaos and the civilians have fled, he tells the party the "good stuff" is downstairs.

Idle banter

Chervis will occassionally chat with Zollerix Clerk Zollerix, who manages the queue next to him:

Clerk Zollerix: Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

  • Clerk Chervis: I am, if you're looking where I'm looking.

Clerk Zollerix: Do you have any blank vouching documents?

  • Clerk Chervis: No - but I've got a little brandy in hip flask. Want a nip?
    • Clerk Zollerix: During work hours? Are you crazy?
      • Clerk Chervis: That's what they tell me. But we'll save it for later.

Clerk Zollerix: So, I told him 'I'm not that kind of drow.'

  • Clerk Chervis: You didn't! And what did he say?
    • Clerk Zollerix: He said, and I'm not kidding, 'What's stopping you?'
      • Clerk Chervis: Waukeen's scales! I'd have slapped him.
