Mage Hand Legerdemain is an Arcane Trickster Rogue passive feature. This ability enhances your Mage Hand, allowing it to carry out additional tasks.

Description

When you cast Mage Hand, the spectral hand is invisible and can carry out additional tasks.

Condition: Invisible

Invisibility ends early if the invisible entity attacks, casts another spell, interacts with an object, takes an action or bonus action, or is damaged.

  • Despite the description, the mage hand doesn't actually seem to be able to use Thieves' Tools to pick locks as of patch 6 / hotfix 20.
  • This is probably the best tool to scout safely, as long are there are no creature with See Invisibility See Invisibility, which is fairly rare. One can scout an entire area thanks to the Mage Hand's fly fly which makes it able to go to places otherwise very difficult to reach, as long as one can make the camera see the ground level of that place.
  • An effective use of the hand is to use it to throw objects or potions in battle. Dropping an item on the ground for the hand to throw does not cost an action.
