You can literally roll a natural 20 (crit) on your Diving Strike, decline to use Reckless Attack, and still get no attack, no roll, no nothing in the combat log. My suspicion is that sometimes it just straight-up doesn't work at all and that any attempts to implicate Reckless Attack are inaccurate guesswork. It certainly is not true that it only bugs when/if you use Reckless Attack. I haven't been able to reliably reproduce the conditions that cause the bug. You can literally roll a natural 20 (crit) on your Diving Strike, decline to use Reckless Attack, and still get no attack, no roll, no nothing in the combat log. My suspicion is that sometimes it just straight-up doesn't work at all and that any attempts to implicate Reckless Attack are inaccurate guesswork.
