Detect Thoughts is a level 2 divination spell. This spell allows spellcasters to telepathically link to unprotected minds and hear the thoughts of targeted creatures while talking to them.
Description
Focus your mind to read the thoughts of certain creatures while talking to them.
When attempting to use Detect Thoughts on an NPC, an Intelligence or WisdomAbility Check is rolled. On a failure, the NPC may become hostile.
The incantation for Detect Thoughts is Video Veritatem, Latin for "I see truth".
Bugs
Despite the tooltip saying this spell uses either Intelligence or Wisdom, only the creature’s Intelligence is used, even if its Wisdom is higher. This is likely an oversight.
