(This bit was misleading. Storm Sorcery grants flight after ANY level 1 or higher spell is cast, it doesn't have to deal Thunder or Lightning damage (or any damage at all).) |

Storm Sorcery is one of the Subclasses of Sorcerer. They are extremely mobile, being able to fly after each spell they cast, making it safer for them to wade into melee. As they grow in power they can make their spells generate small damaging storms, become resistant to Lightning or Thunder damage and even punish enemies brave enough to attack them by shocking and pushing them far away.
Subclass Features
This subclass obtains all the features from its base class, Sorcerer, in addition to its unique features outlined below.- After you cast a Level 1 Spell or higher you can as a Bonus action until the end of your turn without receiving Opportunity Attacks. Doing so allows you to fly up to 9 m / 30 ft.
- Deals extra damage to nearby enemies whenever you cast a Lightning or Thunder Spell.
- When you cast a spell that deals Lightning damage, you cause a small, local storm. All enemies within 6 m / 20 ft take (Sorcerer Level / 2) Lightning damage.
- When you cast a spell that deals Thunder damage, you cause a small, local storm. All enemies within 6 m / 20 ft take (Sorcerer Level / 2) Thunder damage.
