Interior of the Stormshore tabernacle. Multiple altars sit in place of statues that hug the walls of the room. An altar to Selune, Mystra, and The Statue to the Gods are visible. The room is build from weathered white stone with ornate pillars and other decorative stone works. Stained glass windows let light in from the back of the tabernacle.

Stormshore Tabernacle is a house of worship located in the Lower City of Baldur's Gate in Act Three. It is found in the northeastern part of the Lower City, near the 'Basilisk Gate' waypoint.

Areas

Tabernacle

Inside the player can make offerings to Helm, Tyr, Selûne, or Mystra or various other deities at the Statue of the Gods in exchange for the condition: Anointed in Splendour Anointed in Splendour. The condition ends after each long rest, but can be reapplied again for free. Making an adequate donation earns the Inspirational Event Ordinary Practises in Extraodinary Times (Acolyte background).

The amount you have to offer to receive the blessing depends on your level and difficulty. At level 1, 400 gp will grant you the blessing and at level 11/12 it's 4500 gp increasing to 5000 gp on Tactician difficulty. The offering is the same amount as needed to get a merchant to 100 Attitude as seen here.

The blessing is only available to the character that made the offer, and the character who received the blessing must pray at the corresponding statue each day to reapply it. Each character can receive their own blessing, but they must make their own (separate) donations. Once a character makes a sufficient donation to receive a god's blessing, they cannot make donations to other deities.

Background HauntedOne Icon.png Spoiler warning! This section reveals interactions with The Dark Urge.

If the player is playing as The Dark Urge, they can think of Bhaal or make an offering of 1000 gp at the Statue of the Gods. However, Bhaal will not respond to an offering as paltry as this - he expects the world, and nothing less. Unlike other offerings, this offering cannot be retrieved from the offering chest in the basement. The Dark Urge may make offerings to other deities as normal, even if they made an offering to Bhaal, though Bhaal will remind them of their duty every time they beseech a blessing from another god.

Basement

The basement of the tabernacle can be accessed by unlocking the Ornate Wooden Hatch at X: 103 Y: -30.

Within the basement, there are several traps as well as a number of offering chests to various gods. Items donated by the player will also appear in the corresponding offering chest. Looting any of the items from the offering chests (including items previously donated by the player) curses the offending character with Castigated By Divinity Castigated By Divinity. However, breaking the chests and looting the items from the floor will avoid the curse.

Seizing the offerings for yourself grants the Inspirational Event Weak Gifts for Weak Beings (Haunted One background).

Castigated By Divinity Castigated By Divinity can removed with a Remove Curse spell, but that spawns a creature to fight. So it's best to save the citizens from panic and remove the curse while still in the basement. You'll know the condition is gone when it no longer has the Castigated By Divinity Castigated By Divinity icon beside the character.
