Mapped Terror: Spiders is a level 6 illusion spell. This spell terrifies its target by transforming Viconia DeVir and two of her allies into vicious spiders. It cannot be learned by players and is only used by NPCs.

Notes

  • Cast by Viconia DeVir after using Castigate Heartform on a character to professed to fearing "Spiders" during the Mapping of the Heart.
  • The Frightened Frightened condition applies to the castigated target, while the polymorphing condition applies to Viconia and two of her allies. Interestingly, this beneficial polymorphing still triggers a Saving Throw.
  • The spider transformations function similarly to a Wild Shape, with the character returning to its previous form after the spider's hit points are depleted.
