Speak with Animals is a level 1 divination spell. This spell allows spellcasters to understand and talk to beasts and animals for a day.

Gain the ability to comprehend and communicate with beasts.
Properties
At higher levels
Casting this spell at a higher level grants no additional benefit.
Condition: Speak with Animals
Duration: Until Long rest
- Can comprehend and communicate with beasts.
How to learn
Classes:
- Class Level 1: Bard, Druid, and Nature Domain (Domain Spell)
- Class Level 2: Ranger
- Class Level 3: Oath of the Ancients (Oath Spell), and Wildheart
Races:
- Character level 1: Forest Gnome
(Character level is the sum of all class levels for a multi-classed character.)
Feats:Other ways to learn:
- Also granted to s who choose the Eldritch Invocation at level 2+. This version of the spell can only target self, and doesn't expend Spell Slots.
Notes
- s can cast this spell once per Long Rest.
- s can cast this spell once per Long Rest.
- s have a version of this spell called that is used by expending a Channel Divinity charge instead of the Spell Slot and the spell is not considered Ritual.
