Spell Sniper is a passive feature obtainable by a Feat of the same name. Users with this feature have learned an additional cantrip, and are more likely to critical hit with a spell.
Description
You learn a cantrip, and the number you need to roll a Critical Hit while attacking with a Spell is reduced by 1. This effect can stack.
The cantrip must be one of:
How to learn
Granted by feats: Spell Sniper (Feat)
Notes
- Applies to targeted projectile spells with a range greater than 1.5 m / 5 ft and no area of effect.
- These cantrips do scale with character level. So a Level 5 Fighter with Spell Sniper will send two rays with Eldritch Blast, or roll two damage dice for Ray of Frost.
- These cantrips use the character's Spellcasting Ability. For example, if a Cleric chooses Eldritch Blast with this feat, they use their Wisdom modifier and not their Charisma modifier.
